Information for First-Time Online Registration Users

Online Registration

• When you click on Register Now below, you will be directed to a new website, Active.com.
• Once at the Active.com website, you will need to click on Join Now to create a profile if you have never registered online for Washington Parks and Recreation programs using Active.com.
• Type in the requested information under Join Now and you will be on your way. Be sure to remember your user name and password.
• The next time you register online, just click on Returning User and enter your user name and password.

• Problems
  If you have problems with the online registration process please call Active.com's toll free customer help line at 1-888-543-7223, ext. 4 for technical support between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The Parks and Recreation Department cannot offer answers to online registration problems. Problems with the website does not extend the registration deadline.
• Print your receipt
  Be sure to print a copy of registration receipt and bring it to tryouts. If you have not heard from the coach before the date listed in the registration notes on the Active.com website, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (252) 975-9367.
• Note tryout information
  Make a note of tryout dates, when are listed in the registration information on the Active.com website.
• Online registration period
  Online registration is open only on the second week of registration. Both city residents and non-residents of the city may register online as soon as the online registration period opens.
• Insurance charge
  A $6 insurance fee automatically is charged for each sign-up. If you already have paid insurance for the year, your money will be refunded by check within two weeks of registration.
• Processing fee
  Active.com charges a 6.5% plus 50 cents processing fee for each transaction. This fee goes to Active.com and not to the Washington Parks and Recreation Department.
