- Multi-Purpose Meeting room
This meeting rooms seats 40 people and is used by approximately 600 local residents each month. Multi-Purpose Meeting Room Policy.

This collection houses over a 2,000-volume collection. It includes U.S. census records, archival and marriage records, manuscripts, local cemetery records, and back issues of the Washington Daily News (on microfilm).

- Beaufort County Board of Commissioners documents and videos
County commission documents are housed at the library and may be used for reference. Videos of the County Commissioners' meeting are available at the library for check out.
Public Access Catalog
- Periodicals
Approximately 50 general interest adult and juvenile magazines are available at the library. These items can not be checked out. Back issues of magazine and periodical are kept in closed stacks and used as reference resources for patrons. These items can be requested by filling out a magazine request at the Circulation Desk. Photocopying available at a charge of 15¢ per page, color copies 30¢ per page.

Brown library subscribes to state, local, and national newspapers. Some of these include Wall Street Journal, News and Observer, and New York Times. Back issues of newspapers are kept for 6 months back with the exception of the Washington Daily News. The Washington Daily News is on microfilm to be used the patrons in the library.

- NCLIVE
NCLIVE is funded by the State Library of North Carolina. It is a collection of online databases that are available to public library patrons. It includes magazine indexes with full text articles, home and business telephone directories, consumer health and drug information and more. These are licensed databases that provide patrons with a depth of information and a degree of reliability seldom found by Web surfers. A password is required which may be obtained from your local library by calling or coming by the Circulation/Reference desk.
