Guide for Dealing with Disruptive or Problem Patrons


The following would be considered inappropriate or disruptive:

  • Carrying a weapon of any kind.
  • Sexual harassment of any kind.
  • Destruction or removal of any library property.
  • Loud conversation or laughter.
  • Poor personal hygiene.
  • Failure to wear shoes or shirts.
  • Disruptive use of audio equipment.
  • Soliciting or selling of any kind.
  • Distributing leaflets or posting notices.
  • Smoking.
  • Bringing any animal except guide dogs into library.
  • Consumption of food or drink.
  • Using bicycles, roller skates, roller blades or any such equipment inside library.
  • Being present in library at times other than operating hours.
