Houses a 25-yard indoor swimming pool, wading pool, fitness room with weight and cardiovascular machines, meeting room, tanning deck. Use is by membership. Daily open swim periods offered for non-members.

Headquarters for programs, meetings and activities for senior adults (ages 55 and older). Houses two small banquet rooms which convert to one large room with an adjacent kitchen, sitting area with television and VCR, and activity room featuring exercise equipment, billiards table and table tennis.

Havens Gardens Park
Located on the Pamlico River on Park Drive, just before the Runyon Creek Bridge
Park hours year-round are sunrise to sunset.
Restroom facilities hours are as follows:
March-April & September-October 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (weather permitting);
May-August — 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; November-February — closed.
Two covered picnic shelters, playground equipment, fishing pier and open grass areas for volleyball, tag football and other activities. For a small charge, groups may reserve picnic shelters. No fees are charged to Beaufort County school groups. Make reservations at the Recreation Main Office, 310 W. Main St., (252) 975-9644.
Stewart Parkway
Located on the north shore of the Pamlico River, Washington's Downtown waterfront is the centerpiece of the city, and the location for many entertainments and special events, concerts, and fireworks displays.
A 3/8 mile long brick promenade connects with another 3/8 mile of elevated, lighted boardwalk through the wetland area east of the North Carolina Estuarium and provides scenic views of the river and sunsets that are popular with walkers. Along the walkway are a children’ playground, picnic tables, swings, and the band shell and gazebo in Festival Park. The North Carolina Estuarium has exhibits about the local environment, and offers daily tours on the river. And the Little Washington Sailing School introduces local youngsters to sailing.
An integral part of the downtown waterfront are the Washington Waterfront Docks, a city marina that offers dockage and services for visiting boaters. Free dockage is available for those who want to explore the downtown are, shop, or eat in one of the many restaurants. A floating dock is a great spot to pick up friends, or to launch your kayak or canoe.
7th Street Playground and Park

Playground equipment, picnic tables, and small open grills for picnicking. Enter the parking lot from Fifth Street/John Small Ave. Restroom facilities are available inside the recreation center when open. Large shade trees and nearby basketball courts make this a popular area.

Washington Off-Leash Dog Park

Park is completely fenced in and has segregated areas for dogs 20 lbs. and under and medium/large dogs. Amenities include over ½ acres of land, water areas, poop stations, benches for owners, shade trees. For more information and a list of the rules, click here.
Boat Launch Areas
City Boat Ramp
Park Drive at Runyon Creek
A boat launch ramp is available on Runyon Creek, on the east side of Washington on Park Drive near the north end of the Coastal Railway trestle. Two boat ramps, docks, parking for cars and trailers. Restrooms are located across Park Drive in the Havens Garden Park. Fuel, restaurants, and rental of kayaks, paddleboards, and bicycles are close by. Access to the Pamlico River is under a bridge with 14 feet of vertical clearance.
Mason's Landing
Clark’s Neck Road at Tranter’s Creek
There is a state launch ramp at Mason's Landing on Tranters Creek, on Clark's Neck Road west of Washington. Handicapped accessible facility with two ramps, docks, and parking for cars and trailers. Access to the Pamlico River is under the Highway 17 Bridge with 18 feet of vertical clearance.

This facility has been made possible by a $1 million gift in memory of Susiegray Moore McConnell, a native of Washington, by her husband John P. McConnell of Raleigh, plus additional public funds.

PCM Skate Park

This 8,000 square feet concrete skatepark is located next to the Bobby Andrews Recreation Center on Seventh Street and is named in memory of Patrick Harris Cochran. For more info go to the PCM Skatepark website.
